FAQs

What does "Strohnuts" mean and how do your pronounce it?

Great question! Strohnuts is a tounge-in-cheek reference to my family's last name: Stroh. (Unrelated to the founders of Stroh Beer, unfortunately.) As for the pronunciation, it's simple: think "donuts" but replace the "d" with "Str." Strohnuts!

Where do you make your donuts?

Strohnuts is an entirely home-based bakery.

Is your household celiac free?

While we aren't a celiac free family, we do take every precaution to ensure there is no cross-contamination. Whether it be cleaning the sink and kitchen daily, or using separate equipment for the baking process, your health is our number one priority.

Why can't I pick up the donuts I ordered?

Unfortunately, the city of Fullerton prohibits on-site transactions for home businesses.

Why do you charge more than the average donut shop?

Our donuts are baked not fried which increases the costs on our end. A standard batch of baked donuts takes at least 20-25 minutes to cook in the oven. Additionally, each donut includes a variety of high-quality flours as opposed to one single all purpose flour found in your standard fried pastry.

What type of gluten-free flour do you use in your donuts?

Bob's Red Mill Oat Flour, Bob's Red Mill Almond Flour and Mochiko Sweet Rice Flour.

What cities do you deliver to?

We currently offer free delivery to Fullerton, Placentia, Brea, Yorba Linda, Buena Park and Anaheim. We also provide delivery to Irvine and La Habra for an additional $4 fee.

How long do your donuts last at room temperature?

We recommend consuming the donuts within 1-2 days.

Are your donuts vegan?

No. Our donuts contain dairy products such as eggs and buttermilk.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, debit and all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
